After "too long" away from home, I returned to New Orleans, the city I love. Inspired by the soulful vibes, carnival spirit, pretty people, and deep culture, I decided to develop a line of dynamic wax-print apparel. Every day I get to create is a gift. I couldn't be more thankful for the love and support that's come my way since I've started this venture.
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to colorful prints and tropical patterns. I know I got it from my mama... "Eda" as she was affectionately known, loved bright colors and fanciful fabrics. New Orleans, with its nonstop festival atmosphere and steamy climate, is the perfect environment for manifesting what I call Subtropical Soul.
I absolutely love working with wax print or Ankara fabrics. Each print has a story. These cotton beauties reflect the humor, talent and passion found throughout the African Diaspora. New Orleans, though far-flung, carries the soul of the Continent in her spirit. I create one-of-a-kind garments that are easy and comfortable without sacrificing beauty or style.
